Obituary for Javier Bracamontes

Javier Bracamontes
Javier “Javy” Martin Bracamontes, 51 passed away peacefully surrounded by love, Monday, January 1, 2018.

Javier was born April 2 1966. He was the son of Armida and Pedro Gonzalez. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Pedro and Alicia Gonzalez and maternal grandparents Jose and Sara Bracamontes.

He is survived by his Caregiver/Wife and best friend of twenty nine years, Rebecca Bracamontes of Raleigh. Children a Son, Aaron Bracamontes and a daughter Sara Bracamontes and two beautiful spunky grandchildren, all which put a twinkle in his eye. 2 Brothers Pedro Gonzalez (CA), Robert Gonzalez (AZ), a sister Jessica Gonzalez (TX), and several nieces and nephews.

Javier was a strong person with abiding faith in our Lord. He loved life, family, trivia, Panther Football, and his dogs Twinkie, Cookie, Lola and Bruno.

Javier was a veteran of the US Army serving Active Duty 1986-1989 and Reserve 1989-1994. He also worked several years for the State of North Carolina, Emergency Management Division.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation and gratitude to the Staff at Ruth Sheets Adult Care Center, 228 W. Edenton St, Raleigh. And to his Chauffer Maurice, Brother in Law Curt and to the many close friends made during Javier’s journey. Each one of you always went that extra mile everyday for the safety, well being of Javier. Maybe just to talk, be a friendly face, comfort and ensured that he lived the fullest life possible. It has been a long journey and Javier is now resting in peace, an angel among us.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Ruth Sheets Adult Care Center.
