Frederica L. Carter is a U.S. Army Veteran, serving over 20+ years of service as a Human Resource Specialist. In February 2023, Frederica came into our establishment as a customer, wrapping up some business and left out being a member of the team. Montlawn was in need of filling the receptionist position and her counselor at the moment inquired about her current employment situation and she answered, "Retired and looking for a job and yes I'll take it," and the rest is history. Although Frederica has no background history in the Funeral Home industry, she came with a vast amount of knowledge, the willingness to learn and most of all the ability to provide awesome customer service. She has the capacity to show our families the well-needed empathy and sympathy required as soon as they walk through our doors. It's her pleasant smile that you will be greeted with and an invitation to make you feel tight at home in her heart. There's no doubt she loves what she does here at Montlawn.
Frederica graduated from Campbell University with an Associates in Art in 2015, while
maintaining her career in the military. She has two sons, Darren and Keith, plus a 13-year-old
granddaughter and a three-year-old grandson. She's a Patriots fan and especially loves to sing.
